OPM Review Panel Meeting, April 8, 2013

The following Districts presented on the procurement and selection of their Owner’s Project Manager (“OPM”) at the April 8, 2013 Massachusetts School Building Authority (the “MSBA”) OPM Review Panel ("Panel") Meeting:

District:  Town of Swampscott
Project:  Hadley Elementary School

District’s Selected Owner’s Project Manager: Collaborative Partners, Inc.

The District and its selected Owner’s Project Manager presented their overall selection process and how they concluded on selecting Collaborative Partners, Inc. as their proposed OPM for the proposed Hadley Elementary School project.  The Panel and MSBA staff asked the District about their selection process, clarification of their interview process, site considerations for the proposed project, the proposed scope of work for their project, and their understanding of the MSBA process.  The Panel and MSBA staff also inquired about the OPM's past experiences with projects that involved multiple grade configurations and/or schedule challenges. 



District:  Town of Brookline
Project:  Edward Devotion School

District’s Selected Owner’s Project Manager: Anthony Guigli, Project Administrator/OPM, Town of Brookline

The District and their selected Owner’s Project Manager reviewed how they concluded on selecting their town employee, Anthony Guigli, as their proposed OPM for the proposed Edward Devotion School project.  The Panel and MSBA staff asked the District about their plan to provide administrative support for the proposed project, sought clarification on the proposed team for the proposed project, and their current workload as well as their understanding of certain project responsibilities.  The Panel and MSBA staff also inquired about the OPM's previous experiences with school projects and how the proposed project might be managed as a result.
