OPM Review Panel Meeting, June 10, 2013

The Owner’s Project Manager Review Panel did not meet with districts to discuss procurement and selection of an Owner’s Project Manager (“OPM”) at the Monday, June 10, 2013 meeting.  Instead, MSBA staff gave a presentation which provided an overview of cost data and change order data.  The presentation is summarized as follows:

The Director of Project Management reviewed the cost data analysis that the MSBA has undertaken over the past several months in conjunction with independent contractor Rider Levett Bucknall.  This analysis demonstrates that construction costs have remained relatively stable and that current MSBA funding levels continue to be appropriate.  The MSBA plans continued monitoring of cost data annually. 

An MSBA Senior Project Manager from the Construction Administration Team provided an update on a change order data analysis that was undertaken by staff, including review of the data, methodology of analysis, and preliminary findings. For additional information view the presentation.
