OPM Review Panel Meeting, August 4, 2014

The following District presented on the procurement and selection of its Owner’s Project Manager (“OPM”) at the August 4, 2014 Massachusetts School Building Authority (the “MSBA”) OPM Review Panel (the “Panel”) Meeting:

District:  Town of Hopkinton (the “District”)
Project:  Center Elementary School

District’s Selected Owner’s Project Manager:  Compass Project Management, Inc. (“CPM”)

The District presented its overall selection process and how it concluded on selecting Compass Project Management, Inc. as the OPM for the proposed Center Elementary School project.  Panel members and MSBA staff asked the District about its selection process; its interview and scoring processes; and its understanding of the next steps in Module 2 of the MSBA process, securing a designer/architect.  The Panel members and MSBA staff inquired about the OPM’s experience with other Districts on school building projects and the firm's understanding of the MSBA process, in particular, the requirements associated with Modules 3, 4 and 5.  The Panel members and MSBA staff sought clarification from the District and CPM regarding the day-to-day communication between the District and the OPM for the proposed project.
