December 18, 2013 Facilities Assessment Subcommittee Meeting

The following District presented on the progress of its proposed project at the December 18, 2013 Massachusetts School Building Authority (the “MSBA”) Facilities Assessment Subcommittee (“FAS”) Meeting:

The District, the Owner’s Project Manager, and design team provided an update to the Facilities Assessment Subcommittee regarding the proposed project.  During this update the district and its project team addressed the proposed project-related issues discussed at the October 23, 2013 Facilities Assessment Subcommittee meeting and the November 20, 2013 Board of Directors meeting.  The following items were discussed between the FAS, MSBA staff, and the District during the meeting: 1) site topography and circulation; 2) the potential connection to the existing middle school; 3) day-lighting; 4) isolation of STEM spaces; and 5) the potential for coverage at the building’s entrance for handicapped drop-off.
MSBA staff will continue to work with the District on the development of its schematic design.
