The FAS, MSBA staff, and the District discussed the following: further development of the overall building design and layout, including the proposed Commons, since submittal of the Preferred Schematic; location of the proposed science labs and opportunities to integrate science instruction with other disciplines; integration of educational programming and architectural considerations; site and building circulation, including pathways between wings of the proposed building during lunch seatings; access and use as well as maintenance and resiliency considerations for the proposed third-floor courtyard; and clarification of public/private separation and associated safety and security considerations.
