2020 Statement of Interest Submittal PeriodThe Massachusetts School Building Authority's (the "MSBA") 2020 Statement of Interest ("SOI") submittal period is now closed.

Submitting an SOI is the first critical step in the MSBA's program to partially fund the construction, renovation, addition or repair of municipally or regionally owned school facilities located in cities, towns and regional school districts. The SOI allows districts to inform the MSBA about deficiencies that may exist in school facilities and how those deficiencies inhibit the delivery of the educational program.

The deadline for submitting Core Program SOIs closed on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 11:59 PM.

Due to ongoing public health issues, the MSBA's due diligence for the Accelerated Repair Program ("ARP"), which includes a site visit to the facility for the 30 qualifying schools has been postponed. Unlike prior years in which project invitations were approved at the June Board meeting, invitations to the 2020 Accelerated Repair Program are anticipated, at this time, at the December 16, 2020 Board meeting or the February 11, 2021 Board meeting. If invited, districts would then need to approve funding for the Feasibility Study/Schematic Design portion of potential projects within 60 calendar days of the date of invitation into the ARP.
