The Massachusetts School Building Authority will be conducting a day-long virtual training on May 27th entitled, “Demystifying Net Zero”. We are hosting this educational opportunity for those districts newly invited to partner with the MSBA or who have recently applied to the MSBA’s grant program.
Net Zero Energy (NZE) is a new focus of MA climate change policy. Panelists from MA school districts, architects planning new net zero schools, mechanical engineers, environmental specialists, and energy industry representatives will teach school districts on what they need to know to examine the possibilities of net zero and understand how to pay for it. Several MSBA school districts are taking the lead on designing schools to achieve zero net energy or to be zero net energy-ready. These districts are meeting the moment with different combinations of technology and different funding strategies.
If your school district is interested in attending the event, please contact Barbara Hansberry, Director of Strategic Planning by clicking here.
