The MSBA has established several sustainable green programs for all MSBA-funded projects, with an increased emphasis on reducing energy consumption and improving indoor air quality These programs include updated standards for new and major renovation/addition projects. The MSBA also requires and pays for the entire cost of building commissioning for all MSBA-funded projects to ensure that these buildings operate efficiently and as designed.

The MSBA understands that on August 9th the FY24 budget was signed by Governor Maura Healy. We would like to thank our legislative partners for their consideration of the recommended changes providing the MSBA resources and flexibility for projects partnering with the MSBA. We would like our districts to know that we have been analyzing the potential impact the new legislation will have on current and future MSBA projects and are working diligently to provide answers over the coming weeks.
