Facilities Assessment Subcommittee

The Board of Directors meets every other month. Each Board member also serves on a subcommittee of the Board, which meets throughout the year.
Currently, the MSBA has three subcommittees. The Administration and Finance Subcommittee meets to review budgetary and financing matters. The Facilities Assessment Subcommittee meets to hear district presentations regarding proposed projects and provide feedback to districts before the project is presented to the Board.  The Project Management Subcommittee meets to review audit appeals for MSBA projects.

The chart below lists the Facilities Assessment Subcommittee and MSBA Board of Directors meetings that are scheduled for 2014 and 2015.  Also noted, are the corresponding deadlines for receipt of District submittals for Facilities Assessment Subcommittee and Board of Directors meetings.
Districts with projects requiring Board approval for a preferred schematic design and/or a project scope and budget will be asked to present information about the project at a Facilities Assessment Subcommittee meeting in advance of the Board meeting at which the project vote will occur. To properly prepare for Facilities Assessment Subcommittee and Board meetings, the MSBA has set deadlines for receipt of District project submissions for each meeting. All required submissions must be received by the MSBA, by the deadlines noted below. This will provide MSBA staff with proper review and preparation time in advance of each meeting.
Requests for presentations and Board approvals should be directed to the Project Manager assigned to a project.

  • 2nd Floor Conference Room, 40 Broad Street, Boston
