The Massachusetts School Building Authority (the “MSBA”) is pleased to provide an update on the status of the 2026 Statement of Interest (“SOI”) submittal period for the Core Program.
The MSBA's 2026 SOI submittal period for the Core Program opens on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM and will close on on Friday, April 17, 2026.
Submitting an SOI is the critical first step in the MSBA’s program for school building construction, addition, and/or renovation or repair grants. It allows districts to inform the MSBA about deficiencies that may exist in a local school facility and how those deficiencies inhibit the delivery of the district’s educational program. The Core Program is intended for new construction, addition, and/or renovation projects.
The Accelerated Repair Program, which is intended for the partial or full replacement of roofs, windows/doors and heat pump conversions in existing school facilities, will again be accepting SOIs for consideration in January 2027, consistent with its biennial openings.
