OPM Review Panel Meeting, March 2, 2015

The following Districts presented on the procurement and selection of their Owner’s Project Managers (“OPMs”) at the March 2, 2015 MSBA OPM Review Panel (the “Panel”) Meeting:

District:  City of Quincy (the “City”)
Project:  Sterling Middle School

District’s Selected Owner’s Project Manager (“OPM”):  Joslin, Lesser + Associates, Inc. 

The City and its selected Owner’s Project Manager presented information about the OPM selection process and how the City concluded on selecting Joslin, Lesser + Associates, Inc. to serve as the OPM for the proposed Sterling Middle School project.  The OPM, at the request of the MSBA, reviewed their previous experiences with school projects and how the proposed project might be managed as a result. The OPM provided clarification regarding the proposed team for the project and reviewed a proposed schedule.  The OPM also discussed possible solutions for the proposed project and assisting the City with outreach within the community.

District:  Town of Hanover (the “Town”)
Project:  Sylvester Elementary School

District’s Selected Owner’s Project Manager (“OPM”):  P3 Inc.

The Town and its selected Owner’s Project manager presented information about the OPM selection process and how the Town concluded on selecting P3 Inc. to serve as the OPM for the proposed Sylvester Elementary School project.  The OPM, at the request of the MSBA, reviewed their previous experiences with school projects.  The OPM provided clarification regarding the experience of the team for the proposed project, their current workload, and a proposed schedule.  The OPM reviewed their ability to assist the Town with outreach in support of the proposed project.  A few challenges associated with the proposed project were discussed and possible solutions were briefly reviewed.
